A Place of Hope and Community

Dear Friends:

On behalf of our Board, Staff and all of our participants, we thank you for supporting the Abraham House 20th Anniversary Benefit.

It was wonderful to see so many friends - old and new - at NYU's Kimmel Center as we honored NYC Council Speaker, Melissa Mark-Viverito, and founding board member, Brother Kevin Devlin of Iona College.

Together we raised $67,400!

From the moving first-hand stories shared by youngsters Noemi and Oscar - who started at the
Abraham House After School Program when they were in elementary school and are now heading off to college - to the stories shared by participants in our Alternative to Incarceration program - many of whom have now returned as volunteers and are giving back to the community - these amazing personal experiences bring our mission to life.
To those who attended the benefit or made a donation, thank you for your continued support. We share this anniversary with you and the numerous friends who have, as Brother Devlin stated, "given of their time, treasure and talents to make our work possible."

If you have not yet made a donation, we ask that you please contribute to our Abraham House 20th Anniversary Fund. Our goal is to raise an additional $10,000 to help ensure that we can continue to provide crucial  services to all who walk through our doors.

Please click here to make a contribution of any amount before August 31st.

At the event, Abraham House was referred to as an "oasis in the South Bronx." We invite you to visit us as our doors are always open to our extended family.

In the languages of our founders - Dankuwel, Merci, Thank You!
